GSM version of Novatel’s MiFi gets an FCC approval

Remember that cool, credit card-sized 3G-to-WiFi router - MiFi made by Novatel? Sure you do - we even posted some real-life shots from the CES, where we had a chance to at least touch the shiny object and instantly fall in love with it. Well, the MiFi has been spotted while passing the FCC in GSM flavor with all the right bands to sing along AT&T (NYSE: T)’s 3G network. This includes 850 and 1900MHz EDGE plus 1900MHz HSPA data support.
There’s no doubt CDMA / EV-DO version will also be released, but until that happens, guess it’s the AT&T customers who will initially benefit from the uber-cool router which they can carry around and have their WiFi-enabled gadgets always connected ...
