First USB 3.0 Device Set to Debut Today
Symwave announced today that it will demonstrate the first-ever USB 3.0 Physical Layer (PHY) device, this week at the SuperSpeed USB Developer's Conference in San Jose, CA.

This historic device is the Quasar PHY, designed to “sync and go” with external hard drives, media players, HD camcorders, and phones. So I guess the big question is how long it will take before every USB enabled device is a 3.0.
