... NTT is developing a high tech shoe that charges your MP3 player or cell phone. Neat but how does it work? Every step you take puts pressure on a liquid-filled sole, creating enough water flow to put some oomph in a small turbine generator. Result? 1.2 watts of good ol’ electric juice to power up that iPod. Nice one.
NTT wants to up the power to 3W before commercializing it in 2010. Judging by the pic, they also need to seriously consider hiring a shoe designer.
