Upgrade to iPod touch 3.1 for $5 [Deals]
Lifehacker —
According to Apple site 9 to 5 Mac, only 1% of iPod touch users have upgraded to the 3.0 firmware. Their guess at why: maybe because Apple was forcing iPod touch users to pay $10 for the upgrade. If you're an iPod touch user who held out, you can now upgrade to iPod touch 3.1 (released earlier this week ) from whatever you're using for $5. It's still not the same as the free upgrades afforded to iPhone users, but half-price is better than full. [ 9 to 5 Mac via Gizmodo ]
