GeekAlerts —
... The car is powered by a rechargble battery pack and the 27MHz remote control lets you move the tires forward and backward individually, making it possible to spin around on one spot. You can also go forward, and then hit back, to flip the car around.
The exact release date for the G-Bound R/C Car has not yet been conformed, but sales will start in autumn 2009 and the car will cost 12,800 YEN (about $140 USD).

Amphibious RC Car
Geeky-Gadgets —
... at 13.000 yen (~100 euro/$150) It’s produced by CCP , a sub-brand of the Japanese toy giant BANDAI, and has a re-chargable battery pack and a 27 MHz radio. Thanks to a waterproof body and inflatable tires (usually RC car tires are not inflatable) it’s an amphibious vehicle that can be used everywhere, even on water!!
Sadly it looks like it is only available in Japan at the moment, lets hope we see these in the US and Europe as they look like a lot of fun.

... science fiction, where your standard remote control car is not only able to zip around the home without missing a beat, you can even send it to the local pond in order to chase ducks and other water-based fowl as well. Available in Japanese stores since last month, these cars can run on water not due to magic, but because the tires can be inflated coupled with a fully waterproof body. It will come with a maximum range of 10 meters and uses a standard 9V battery to run.

The G-Bound RC Car Drives On Water [Rc]
Gizmodo —
It's no miracle, the G-Bound remote control car can drive over water thanks to a waterproof chassis and inflatable tires. Unfortunately, the maximum range on the G-Bound is only about 33 feet, so I wouldn't take it out to the lake unless you don't mind swimming after it. Not that it matters—it appears to be a Japan-only release for the moment. [G-Bound via Hobby Media via Coolest Gadgets]

Remote controlled car rides on water with efficiency
Gizmo Watch —
... of the Japanese giant toy maker Bandai. As mentioned the USP of this 9V battery powered R/C car is that besides the trilling rides on land the car can also float in water. This is possible because of its waterproof body and the tires that inflate to keep it from sinking. You’ll have to be in the range of ten meters to keep the car moving, so only a nearby pool would be a good idea, or else the outing with the R/C car could fail for you.
