Japanese Candy Includes Miniature Nikon SLR
OhGizmo! —
... Included in their boxes of candy are these fantastically detailed models (unfortunately, they’re models) of Nikon SLRs, complete with interchangeable lenses and flash system. You have to wonder how these guys make any money when the models (from the look of them) probably cost more to produce then the candy itself, but that’s their problem. I’m suddenly craving imported caramels, and maybe some taffy too, if it includes little miniature rolls of film.

Pfft, This Nikon SLR Is Way Too Small to Use! [Digital Cameras]

... is a somewhat remarkable mini SLR replica, going so far as to acknowledge the two different body finishes and truly interchangeable lenses. Even though this Nikon F is completely non-functional, I like to imagine squinting through its minuscule viewfinder while delicately tweaking the focus ring. Then I like to imagine dropping the camera, accidentally stepping on it and chastising myself for investing in impractical photography equipment, again. [Glico Nikon F Miniature via Neatorama]

Miniature Nikon SLR found in Japanese candy
CrunchGear —
... were found in Glico caramel candies in 2002 and likely cost more than the candy themselves. Who cares though. Look at ‘em. They are fantastic.
Sure, they can’t take pictures but the models are so precise that the lens can be mounted on the camera body. I’m kind of assuming that similar models wouldn’t find their way into American candy. Something about choking dumb kids.
