Commenter robkonz1 noticed something strange about Google's recent offline Mobile Gmail demo : the HTC Magic used in the demo had—ohmygoodness—a T-Mobile logo on it. Does this mean the Magic is going to be our G2? Engadget noticed this as well, and notes that the T-Mobile logo on ...

Google Gmail Demo Suggests T-Mobile to Bring HTC Magic to the USA
Mobilewhack.com —
... at Vodafone’s going to be it? According to Google’s demo of Mobile Gmail in offline mode, the HTC Magic will wear the T-Mobile logo. If that’s what Google has shown us it must be close to real right? The photo here is blurry but the T-Mobile logo is from the USA. It has one less dot left to the T than everywhere else in the world. There’s no good reason for T-Mobile not to launch the HTC Magic as the G2 . Unless they have something even better up their sleeve. via Gizmodo Tags: G2 , Google , HTC , HTC , Magic , ...
T-Mobile USA to bring HTC Magic to US as G2?

... demonstration of their Mobile Gmail becoming offline enabled, and the HTC Magic handset they used was branded with the T-Mobile logo; so that being the case doesn’t it mean T-Mobile will be bringing it to the States?
If you actually look close enough, it has one less dot to the left of the T in the T-Mobile logo that’s used everywhere else in the world, but does that mean anything? I can’t see why it wouldn’t be T-Mobile offering the HTC Magic as the G2 can you?

It wasn’t quite final hardware (the face buttons are slightly different - a bit larger and round) and we weren’t allowed to touch the thing, but we just got back from spending a bit of time with the second-ever Android phone to make its way into a carrier’s line up. The HTC ...

CrunchGear
If we are to believe this Vodafone ad (and who are we to doubt the Internet), the European carrier will be the exclusive provider of HTC ’s next Android phone, the Magic. The phone does somewhat resemble early spy shots so we could be looking at the real deal, folks.
