My Maps Editor App for Google Android G1

Markers and shapes on maps, it is also possible for users to attach a photo to a map direct from their cell phone, with the built-in GPS. Google have said that the new app makes it possible to edit Google Maps content directly on their T-Mobile G1 handset. The “My Maps Editor” allows users to edit their maps on their handset by syncing over-the-air via their Google account. Read full article

Google announces map editor for G1
CrunchGear — Google is releasing an application for the G1 that allows you to augment the Google Maps app with custom graphics and locations. You can edit directly from an Android phone, and then sync with the online Google maps application, or vice versa. Since you can sync in both directions, you could potentially plan a trip, and then take pictures and upload them back into your Google maps, and then share that information. Currently, it will only work with the T-Mobile G1, however that could change as other Android based phones are released.
