Windows-Powered Computer Turned Hackintosh Jr.

... Mac Mini, so he took the task into his own hands. Built from mesh and sheet aluminum, you'll find an "Aaeon GENE-9310 mobo, an Intel Core Duo T2500 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 2.5" Seagate Momentus hard drive" inside the case. Click here for first picture in gallery.
While not running on official Apple hardware, the Hackintosh Jr. gets its looks from the big tower Macs, but at 5.5" (h) x 7" (w) x 5" (d), it's not much bigger than a Mac Mini.

... motherboard, with an Intel Core Duo T2500 processor, 2 GB of memory and integrated WiFi. Widefault is now eying up his remaining stocks of mesh and considering building a mini-ITX version.
Under load it’s estimated to demand just 45 to 50 watts, and you can expect to halve that when it’s sat idle. No optical drive, obviously, and you won’t be doing any heavy video lifting, but it sure looks neat on the desk.

... a deal on an SSD.
Only has a VGA output. There is an adapter board to add DVI, but it would also add $125 to my cost. Not worth it to me.
No optical drive. Some sacrifices need to be made to keep the size down, and that was the one this time. I have a couple USB CD/DVDs so it's not much concern. I load most software off the network, anyway.
Have to ask... how many USB ports?

... Embedded board, Intel Core Duo T2500, 2GB OCS DDR2-667, Intel Pro 2200BG wireless with external antenna, Seagate Momentus 5400.3 ATA drive and a single 12 volt power input. Heat sink has been replaced with an oversized one that houses 60mm fan. It’s a pretty powerful PC for its size; only thing it misses out on is an optical drive. Modder has used a single piece of sheet to make the meshed part of the body whereas; top and bottom were carved out of a flat sheet.

... of a Mac Mini. I like the idea, it’s a good look. It’s got really low power requirements as well.
It’s 5.5″ x 7″ x 5″ and has a 2.33GHz low-power Core Duo processor, 2 gigs of RAM, and a 2.5″ 40GB HDD. Not exactly a powerhouse, but it’ll work for the basics.
Created by Widefault, it’s one of the best I’ve seen in a while.

... aluminum Mac Pro or Mac Mini. Modder Widefault understood your impatience and came up with the Mac Pro tower that is squashed down to 5.5” high. Under the hand shaped mesh and sheet aluminum lies an Aaeon GENE-9310 sub compact mobo, sporting an Intel Core Duo T2500 Processor, 2GB RAM, integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and a 2.5” Seagate Momentus Hard drive. I’m sure the compact low power Mackintosh would look pretty spectacular on our tables.
