Hitch Suction-Cup Belt Lets You Catch Free Rides, Dice With Death [Suckers]
Gizmodo —
... Nightingale has come up with in his "Hitch" concept. It's a smidge like the free-ride skateboard Kouriers in Snow Crash and a smidge like bad building-climbing gear from B-movies. The idea of Hitch is simply to sucker onto a vehicle that's about to move off, using the belt and hand suction cups, thereby gaining yourself a free journey. But Robert also suggests aircraft hangers as a good hitchhiking location, which I'm pretty certain is a one-way ticket to a Darwin Award. [Yanko Design] ...
Use Hitch to grab a free ride

I hope Robert Nightingale is kidding about this Hitch concept. It might seem cool in the movies, but I think it is a disaster in making in real life. Call me over cautious, but better safe than sorry. I think my two feet are free and efficient transportation. The only real use I can think for it is that it might help me latch on to a hot rich guy.

... railway stations or air hangers. Subtly wait for the opportune moment (which is precisely 7 seconds before the initial point of acceleration) and attach the product as firmly as possible to the host vehicle (a brief run up usually does the trick), paying attention to ground clearance for ones feet and enjoy the ride…
Everything from this concept idea is probably available to buy off the shelves although I’d seriously recommend not trying it

Hitch
TrendsNow —
