Wired: Gadget Lab — ... the functionality of iTunes. However, some construe this action as Apple saying, "Don't compete with us." -- which could hinder innovation. I'm going to agree with the majority here: A remote podcast downloader would've been extremely handy, and I'm surprised the iPhone still doesn't include that. I'd prefer to have Podcaster now and then ditch the application once Apple implemented the podcast downloader into the iPhone's iPod. Joy of Tech [via Gizmodo] ...
