The launcher section is modular and can be removed in case you want to modify it or use a different design. You could thread on some 1″ PVC pipe and have a Christmas Cannon.

You might want to check on legality issues if you are actually going to go through with building one of these, as there are sure to be a few places in the world that a net gun is illegal.
