Boing Boing Gadgets — ... it's pretty much case-in-point for why this practice annoys me. They are selling it for $153.90, which is almost half of the netbook's $350 starting price. If you can get away with a 3-cell battery on your netbook, that's great, but for people like me, that makes the cheapest HP Mini 1000 a $500 proposition... and if you're going to be spending that much on a netbook, the Samsung NC10 is still best-of-class, and ships with a 6 cell battery standard for $50 less.
