New HP Mini-Note- 10-inch spotted in the wild

... e has garnered a lot of attention as the first netbook to appear by a major OEM. One of the frequent desires stated by consumers is a wish for a 10-inch version of the 2133. Laptop Magazine spotted what looks like just such a beast at an event hosted by HP in NYC last night. HP was showing off a "fashion" netbook-type of device and Joanna Stern notice it's a 10-inch device that looks like a major refresh of the original 8.9-inch netbook by HP. She has a lot of photos of the very red new netbook for your fashion-conscious consumption. ...

En la nota de prensa de HP no se hace referencia en ningún momento a que sea una evolución del HP MiniNote, pese a eso, la pantalla es demasiado pequeña para tratarse de un modelo más normal.
Estará disponible en Octubre en EE.UU., no hay ni datos tecnicos ni referencia a lanzamientos en Europa, Latinoamérica o incluso Asia, así de completa son las notas de prensa hoy en día.

... is known about the internals, but the case sports an Asian-inspired peony flower design, and the screen fills the entire lid with very little bezel. If we had to guess, we'd say that it's more likely that there's a VIA Isaiah chip in there instead of an Atom, given the C7M found in the current Mini-Note, but we'll see -- and hopefully soon, since at least one HP rep apparently confirmed that the machine is the next generation Mini-Note. ... Even the “enter” key on the notebook bears the Chinese symbol for “double happiness”. Designer Tam says that her ideas behind this laptop are specially oriented towards creating the kind of “peace and tranquility that you get from being in a garden”.
Since little else is known about the other specs at this point of time, we hope that when the Digital Clutch shows up during Jan 2009, the intended double happiness comes to us in terms of both the specs and pricing.

... And then of course, there's that HP Mini-note with the 10-inch display seen earlier this month. A refresh could use the same core guts, but if you're going to produce an updated product, why not get all the updates you reasonably can in there? ...
