That, in response to a question posed to him about whether or not rumors of five HTC-branded Android phones would hit the market this year. Chou didn’t divulge any further information aside from the fact that we’ll see at least three phones this year.
We’ve already seen the first — the HTC Magic/G2 that’ll be sold on Europe’s Vodafone network. Details on the remaining two handsets are unknown.

If you include the HTC Magic (pictured above) that would mean HTC should release another 2 Android devices this calendar year. Fantastic news for Android fans that want a bit more choice when it comes to their device… But we’ll see how this one turns out. Hope it’s true!

Chou answered clearly and didn’t leave too much to question by stating we can expect ‘at least’ 3 new Google Android based mobile phones on top of the Windows Mobile phones HTC is preparing to release in 09.
So if you count the HTC Magic, then we can expect at least 2 other Android toting smartphone to come out of HTC this year. This is good news for Android fans and will certainly bring new choice to the Android market.
