Intel lets slip first dual-core Atom | Register Hardware
IDF Intel has quietly introduced its first dual-core Atom processor, the 330, and a new motherboard to go with it. The 45nm 330's a low-power part and - as the lack of an 'N' prefix shows - it's a desktop chip. Intel didn't say what clock speed the chip is set to - higher than the 230's 1.6GHz, we'd say, but it's not certain. The part does sit on a 533MHz frontside bus. Current 'Diamondville' ...

Info on Intel's Dual-Core Atom 330 Processor Hits Internets [Intel]
Gizmodo — ... supply problems... but now info on Intel's Atom 330 dual-core has arrived. It's a desktop chip, with a 533MHz frontside bus and based on the 45nm process, though there's no info on its clock speeds yet. It'll be compatible with Intel's upcoming D945GCLF2 mini-ITX motherboard, a 945GX chipset/GMA 950 graphics chip board due in September, which is presumably when the 330 hits the streets too. As yet there's no news on a mobile version, bearing the letter N in its numeric title. [Reghardware] ...

Dual-core Atom chip coming from Intel, new mobo too
CrunchGear — ... Atom chip on the way, likely in September to dovetail with the release of a new motherboard that’s compatible with the CPU. The processor is called the 330 and, although the clock speed hasn’t yet been revealed, it does have a 533MHz frontside bus. The motherboard is called the D945GCLF2 and is a mini-ITX 945GC-based system with Intel’s integrated 950 graphics. The board is due in September, so it’d stand to reason that we’d see the new dual-core Atom then too. [via Register Hardware]

Intel to launch Atom 330 dual-core processor this month
Gizmo Watch — ... with the Intel 945GC Express chipset or the Little Falls2. Watch This: Although the Atom 330 has a thermal power rating of 8W, which is significantly higher than its 4W predecessor 230, other specs put it marginally ahead. Besides, a dual-core cache upgrade is certainly something to take pride in. The Atom 330 processor is a decent bet for small desktops or nettops (Atom-based desktops). Word around the Web: Tony Smith of RegHardware says: Much depends on how it’s ...
