Neowin talked to an alleged "software engineer" on the Zune team who revealed that the 16GB Zune HD—though its price is not finalized—should run somewhere between $249 and $280 this September (a date that was rumored previously.) The leak also went on to say that Microsoft is considering a 64GB Zune HD, which I highly doubt because once you add a 3rd choice into the mix it gets more difficult for people to decide on which one and ultimately if they should actually purchase.

According to an internal Microsoft tipster, the upcoming Zune HD will be available in 16GB and 32GB capacities, and be priced from $249 to $280 for the entry-level model.
