This could easily get snuffed out before release, but OS 3.0 beta users can download >10MB podcasts over 3G. An annoying catch: the 10MB limit is still in place for the app store. The change, discovered in the Macrumors forums , preempt a dissonance that I wondered about during the Keynote: ...

But with the coming of Apple iPhone OS 3.0 this may change at least for podcasts anyway. A MacRumors Form user going by the name of getinline1 downloaded a 138MB podcast using his Apple iPhone running the Apple iPhone OS 3.0 beta.
As of now though the 10MB restriction is still in place on Apple iTunes App Store, but hopefully this will finally be lifted when iPhone OS 3.0 finally hits in summer.
