Scosche’s iPhone Charging Nightlight, an Odd Mashup of Seemingly Unrelated Technologies
The UberReview —
Scosche’s reviveLITE is a iPhone and iPod charger with a built in nightlight. While the nightlight / iPhone connection might seem a little obscure, when you really think about it, there might be some connection there. I mean, there have been plenty of times that I have used my cell phone as a makeshift flashlight to navigate a darkened room; which would be impossible if my cellphone were charging. O.K., I admit it, I am reaching.

Scosche reviveLITE Apple iPhone charging dock
Phones Review —
... an Apple iPhone dock slapped onto its side, and they even call it cordless simple because it plugs direct into a mains socket.
Why would anyone want to fork out Scosche’s ridiculous $40.00 price just for an iPhone dock that has been tagged onto an everyday run of the mill nightlight is beyond me. But then again, these marketing people, if they can slap the word iPhone onto an item they believe it will sell buckets, it’s called cashing in on a brand name.

reviveLite wards off monsters, recharges iPhone
Boing Boing Gadgets —
As long as the explosive caltrops are set-up in an anti-monster perimeter around the bed at night, I have little need for a nightlight, but I rather like the design of the reviveLite, which both charges your iPod overnight and wards of nocturnal vampires and grues while you sleep. It's $40, though, which seems a bit expensive.
