PSP To Finally Stake Its Claim To Fame?
Gadgetreview —
... old genesis games and such. Whenever we hear more about this fabled PSP 4000, we will hear more about the lack of UMD and the transition to download only content which I think is a great idea. Keeping the price down on games will be a key factor though because as of now I could go on amazon or ebay and buy the PSP Genesis collection for $20 and that has three sonic games on it not to mention a bunch others. The juiciest of rumors: PSP2 to debut at E3 with touchscreen, dual analog control sticks and no UMD slot
CrunchGear —

There won’t be a UMD slot, which agrees with that we’ve been hearing for a little while ...

So, why not relaunch the new PSP with a music service while you’re at it, right? Sony could then try to market the device as something that the kids will like (and want!), especially if it’s a lot thinner than the current model. I’m thinking iPod Nano-thin or BlackBerry, or at least close to that. ...
