ZuneHD Leak Flagged as Authentic
Ubergizmo —
Images of the Zune HD have leaked to engadget this afternoon and since then, blogs like Technologizer have pinged their sources deep in Microsoft to learn that it is indeed a genuine shot. These images are promotional materials to be used by Microsoft's marketing. The little story would be that a graphic design company pissed by being diteched by Microsoft had leaked the images. Microsoft may clone iPod touch as Zune HD
AppleInsider —
... Published: 11:00 PM EST Based entirely upon a leak of abstract new marketing graphics from Microsoft, bloggers have announced a new generation of music players that will apparently do most of what the iPod touch did when it arrived in 2007. The product concept is so deep in vaporware territory that Microsoft hasn't even publicly acknowledged any real plans to clone the iPod touch yet. The marketing graphics below, initially published by Engadget , referred to as a "draft" artist's conception, suggest the same minimalist, single home button as the iPod touch along with a ...

The Zune HD grapevine pepped with suspected photo leak
Gizmo Watch —
... Microsoft is merely replicating the iPod touch by developing the Zune HD but, we can’t yet be sure for this isn’t an official photo release backed by Microsoft. Even the High-Definition tagging is a hubbub, and if the next Zune completely ignores the resolution choice, the allegations might stand void and baseless. Nonetheless, such allegations make a product release interesting, and more so if there is a marked difference between the predictions and the final product.

Zune HD makes an appearance
Tech Ticker —
...
Things are going pretty interesting in the Zune labs. The promised Zune hardware has surfaced out of the marketing materials, calling itself as Zune HD and will mostly make a global presence. There are no other details as of now but the picture jibes with Neowin’s description of “sleek and with no D-pad”. It will take on iPod Touch so we can safely say that this baby will sport a touchscreen display amongst other undisclosed things.

4th Gen Zune coming to compete with iPod Touch?
SlashGear —
... to the current iPod Touch, though it remains to be seen if there will be an Application Store for the Zune like there is for the iPod Touch.
Microsoft released the first Zune in 2006. The first generation featured a 30 GB hard drive, WiFi for sharing music with friends, and a radio FM Tuner. While many view it as a decent music player in its own right, Apple’s penetration of the music player market has been too great for the Zune to overcome in any sense.

Gadget Leak: Zune HD, The Next Gen Of Zunage
GadgetReview —
... laid your eyes on what is possibly the new Zune HD. Chicka what?!? Actually, you’re seeing artwork and not the actual device, but you get the point. Any who, the click wheel as been done away with and probably replaced with a ‘home’ button and touchscreen input. Reports say that the device, which will compete with the iPod Touch, will actually be smaller in size, whatever that means. Hold your breath all your want - it’s still a Microsoft product.

... , will have all the latest fixings from 6.5, including the Microsoft Marketplace, but branding is still up in the air since Microsoft is leaving device manufacturing to a third party, possibly Sidekick creator Danger. The most likely candidate for naming is Zune HD, considering recent advertising leaks, but working with Verizon and incorporating Windows Mobile would suggest a significant change in your traditional Zune experience. We’ll have to wait for Microsoft to play their hand, but they really better bring their A-game if they want to play music-centric smartphone ...
