Due to be released in 2009, the DLA-RS2 is bound to be pretty pricey. JVC is not letting on with the price yet, but if you are the type of person would would be looking for a 1080p, 3D projector with a 30,000:1 contrast ratio, price probably doesn't matter much to you. Just be sure to invite me over to watch the 3D U2 concert - I'll bring the popcorn. >

We suspect that there isn't a glut of 3D titles waiting to go, so it's just as well that JVC is offering 2D encoding too, which means you can use it as a standard HD projector until the movie makers catch up with the technology.
