Rather then having a glossy look which the previous versions did, it seems like Apple might be opting for a matte black look. Official details are expected to be launched in about 4 months time, so for now you’ll just have to sit back and try imagine what else it might look like.
The images have come from China and many have a belief that they are the real deal. What do you think?

The June release cycle of iPhone is still months away but some loose hands from China has decided to leak a picture of what is believed to be the next generation iPhone. If the picture is legitimate then iPhone may do away with the fingerprint haven smooth plastic and grace the back with a matte finish. The housing is also said to have textures to improve gripping.

... Cupertino is taking the route of matte black for the next iPhone. They shifted from metal to plastic for the back on the existing iPhone 3G because of reception issues, but the current glossy black is one big fingerprint magnet. A matte back could fix that. Is this one big Photoshopped hoax or is this very much for real? Well, I guess we won’t know for sure until June rolls around and Cupertino comes forth with the newest iPhone for us to enjoy. Well, the source and the site they're on seem a little shaky to us, but the specs themselves don't seem too far-fetched -- OLED screens are getting cheaper and more prevalent, and we're almost certain to see bumps in camera resolution and storage, so even if they are totally made up, we'd venture to guess they're more right than wrong.
