MacBook Nano Looks Like It Came from Cupertino [Apple]
Gizmodo —
... installed. I do know one thing, though: I wouldn't mind having one, specially seeing the contrast with the MacBook Pro 17. The look needs a little bit more polish, but the specs are good and we like both the black and white models. Here are its features: MSI U100 MacBook Nano Windows XP Pro + Mac OS X 10.5.5 Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz 2G DDRII 10" WSVGA LED (1024x600) 320GB SATA 1kg MMC/SD/MS 4 Windows XP Pro + Mac OSX Leopard [Flickr] ...

The MSI Wind becomes the Apple MacBook Nano
Boing Boing Gadgets —
... Nano: a modified MSI Wind with some slick Apple branding, a hacked install of OS X Leopard and a 320GB hard drive bump. There's some typically Apple details you just can't mod, of course: there's simply no way Apple would release a netbook with a non-chiclet keyboard at this stage in the game, and that touchpad isn't fooling anyone either. Still, this really is about halfway towards what I want in an Apple netbook, with the additional 50% being extraordinary battery life.

Fake MacBook Nano is charming enough for Apple’s disgust
Gizmo Watch —
... MacBook Nano will surely put those minds at Apple thinking. Apple is symbolic to electronics, and notebooks are prime pasture. What’s in store from the big-daddy is covered, but this MacBook Nano could be quite akin – yet, this one is just fake. Mac OS X is installed, running on Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz, 10″ WSVGA LED, 320GB SATA the 1kg MSI U100 MacBook Nano, is a false beauty in two models – black and white.

Apple MacBook Nano (Is It Windy In Here?)
OhGizmo! —
... Oh, and of course there’s that understated Apple logo, which means that if something like this were to show up on the Apple website, it would probably run you about $699.
But, you should buy a Wind anyway, for all kinds of good reasons (including the $350 price tag and Turbo mode), and then just slap an Apple sticker on the back (and install OS X, if you want) and make a lot of people really, really jealous.

Apple MacBook Nano (MOD)
LiewCF.com —
I was hoping to see Apple version of netbook. But it is not available, at least not in 2008. Someone installed OSX on MSI Wind and mod it to look like Apple MacBook Nano.
(image: Mickphoto/flickr)
It looks good, I must say! The fake MacBook Nano has the same glowing Apple logo as other Apple notebooks. It has 320GB hardisk space with hacked OSX installation.
The photos of the fake Apple MacBook Nano can be found on Flickr, as well as the process to mod MSI Wind to Apple MacBook Nano.
