Functionally, the metallic silver DS is identical to existing DS handhelds. That means dual-screens, one touch-sensitive, a decent gaming back-catalog and wireless connectivity.
Nintendo are yet to announce whether the silver version will be priced any differently to those colors already on shelves. It will also feature in a new print advert alongside Liv Tyler. Expect availability on September 7th.
