On the hardware side, we saw Microsoft develop the Xbox and the Zune to compete in the video game console and portable media player markets respectively. Recently, Microsoft announced their own laptop cooling pads. These new cooling pads are minimalistic in design, are 1.16 inches in thickness, USB powered and provide cooling by way of a single fan.
Microsoft expects these new cooling pads to retail for about $30 in July.
