More pics of Apple's supposed new laptops surface

... the earlier post is present, though as we said previously, the sides of these housings do look like separate pieces. Regardless, if any of this is even remotely true (and not another Photoshop from someone's mother's basement), Apple is indeed taking its laptops in an Air direction, which isn't surprising -- but signs of these being the end-result of new manufacturing process? The jury's still way out. One more pic after the break of that controversial side piece. [Via MacRumors] Continue reading More pics of Apple's supposed new laptops surface ...

... that it is not like a MacBook Air. The new Apple laptop looks as though it will have a larger trackpad; this is also found on the MacBook Air. On the left side of the case you can see that that is where all the ports will be housed.
The right side of the laptop case has the slot for the optical drive. As yet there is no word from Apple if these are in fact the true photos, we will just have to wait and see.

Photos: Is This the MacBook 'Brick'?
Wired: Gadget Lab —
... to do with the 'Brick' rumors we don't know, but these shots are certainly good. I can't spot any obvious photoshopping, so I'll put my head on the block here and call them as real. Whether the whole MacBook line is going metal, I don't know, but a 12" MacBook Pro would certainly go a long way towards alleviating the complaints that Apple isn't making a netbook. I can feel my wallet itching in my pocket right now.

MacBook ‘Brick’ photos continue to leak
SlashGear —
... If accurate, the recent spate of photos suggests that the predicted upcoming MacBook event will see range refreshes both in the MacBook and the MacBook Pro lines. That would be a significant upgrade, and bring at the least certain elements of casing design into line with the MacBook Air. The original suggestion was that the MacBook event would take place on October 14th; as we approach the end of the week, that date looks increasingly unlikely.
