... after some carrier subsidies. The O2 website shows the Motorola MILESTONE looking every bit the GSM Droid we expected it to be, which is a good sign that German’s won’t have to wait too long before picking up their MILESTONE.
We’ve already seen the GSM Droid pass through the FCC and pop up in Vietnam, so it’s not surprising to see it going official in Europe. The only question is, when will Motorola release a US-spec GSM Droid?

... O2 Germany has confirmed a GSM version of the DROID for Europe going by the name of the Motorola MILESTONE. The news comes courtesy of a sliver of O2's online store page that left itself exposed to the wiles of Google, complete with the above picture and the new moniker, and follows close on the heels of a leaked business guide which says the MILESTONE will retail for €404.20 to corporate customers, and will be available as of November 9th.

Alas, there’s still no word yet on whether the Motorola Droid/Milestone is headed for the UK for sure, but it’s looking more likely than ever, since O2 operates in both Germany and Britain. If only O2 UK was foolish enough to upload pictures in advance, eh? Stay tuned, and expect more on the Motorola Droid very soon.

Looks like the Motorla Droid is making moves across the world as the Boy Genius Report posts the Motorola Droid is coming to Europe in GSM flavour and under the moniker of the Motorola MILESTONE.
Word has it via a German blog which apparently leaked the image of a business guide and official O2 Germany pricing list which shows the Motorola MILESTONE commanding a price tag of some €404.20 that’s about $594.96.
This is apparently official and not a rumour, so it looks like Europe will be gaining some GSM Droid playtime real soon, just a ...

So Europe is to get multi-touch which must be frustrating to those in the US who wont get it, but on a downside for Europe it seems that we wont be getting Google Maps Navigation according to Slashgear. Luckily it seems that turn-by-turn might just be not showing up for 3 months which isn’t as bad as not at all.

The Motorola Droid's release on Verizon Wireless is definitely a milestone for Motorola, a company that has been struggling since the iPhone. The company is definitely celebrating its mark of success. A GSM version of the CDMA Verizon Wireless handset will be launching on carrier O2 in Germany for $600 unsubsidized.
The Droid's design with its angular feature, metal shell, and glass screen is reminiscent of the glory days of the MOTO RAZR.
