Retrieving classic pinball with the Multipin digital pinball simulator

... graphics etc. The entire gaming experience is made all modernly-nostalgic with the machine’s mechanical plunger, clicky flipper buttons, classic trappings and wonderful music you’ll just love to hear through your gaming routine. In case you’re willing to try your hands on the Multipin, then do check out the video below. The Multipin is available for $6000 over at Hammacher.

Virtual pinball machine crams 17 games in one cabinet

... me. I mean, once you get used to it, it's the same game over and over again. Where's the variety?
The Multipin Digital Pinball Machine offers 17 tables in one attractive cabinet. That's because it's all virtual, with the table actually housing a 32-inch LCD monitor instead of the normal workings of a pinball machine. It still has a cool mechanical plunger and clicky flipper buttons, however, so it's the next best thing to a real cabinet.

Pinball machine is really 17 virtual pinball machines!
The Raw Feed —
... It looks just like an old-school pinball machine. In reality, the games are digital, and come in 17 game title varieties. The $6,000 game console is from Nanotech, and it's called the Multipin. The game surface is really a 32-inch high-def LCD display under glass. Controls, including plunger and flipper buttons, are mechanical. (Props to Technabob) ...
Virtual pinball machine looks cool, may be missing flippers

... on the pictures of the machine. Hammacher Schlemmers website says that it does have flipper buttons and a ball launcher just like the real thing, but I can’t seem to find it.
The Hammacher Schlemmer website lists the pinball machine as being currently available, however it will take 4-6 weeks for delivery, so order fast for Christmas. The Digital Pinball machine will set you back $6,000. I’ve got to say though, I think it’d be worth it.

High-Def Digital Pinball Machine Doesn't Really "Get" Pinball [Pinball]

... flippers. Not everything's better digitized, you know? People like pinball because it's nostalgic and flawed, not because it's such a great game. Sure, this digital version lets you "bump and tilt," and for $6,000 I'm sure the rendering of the flippers is excellent—but it's got no soul. But since pinball was already pretty much dead by the time I was born, maybe I'm not the best authority on the subject. It's available from HS now. [Hammacher Schlemmer via Technabob Crunchgear]
