Novos pedidos de patente encontrados pelo MacRumors descrevem invenções do guru Wayne Westerman (ex-FingerWorks), indicando a chegada de novos gestos multi-touch no iPhone, desta vez funcionando sobre o seu teclado virtual.
A idéia de Wayne é tornar a digitação no aparelho ainda mais eficiente, criando movimentos de rápido acesso a caracteres utilizados frequentemente ou comandos específicos. Por exemplo, deslizar o dedo para a esquerda funcionaria como Delete; se usar dois dedos, você apagaria toda uma palavra, ao invés de apenas o último caractere; com três dedos, sumia com toda a linha.
