Yes, Netflix is planning to offer a streaming-only package as early as the end of this year. It's all pretty fuzzy at the moment, but as Netflix adds more and more content to their streaming service and more hardware offers it up, this sort of thing will become more and more attractive. After all, DVDs have a very finite lifespan, while digital streams and downloads are the future. Nice thinking, Netflix.
