Toshiba's 320GB hard disk is world's largest 1.8-incher
Engadget —
That's the world's largest capacity 1.8-inch hard disk drive right there. A claim met by a list of specs going a little something like this: 3.0Gbps SATA interface, 320GB capacity, 5,400 RPM, 16MB buffer, and 19dB of emitted noise during seeks -- a 4dB cut from Toshiba's previous generation of 5,400 RPM 1.8-inchers. Of course, these 1.8-inch mechanical ...
Toshiba announces world’s first 1.8-inch HDD with 320GB Capacity

... aren’t too shabby either). But today, not even two months later, Toshiba unveiled another 1.8-inch HDD with 320GB capacity [press release in English]. ...
Toshiba 320GB 1.8-inch HDD is world’s biggest
SlashGear —
Flash and solid-state drives have been catching up to tiny, 1.8-inch traditional hard-drives in ultramobile applications over the past year or so, but Toshiba don’t think spinning platters are quite outmoded yet. The company have revealed three new 1.8-inch HDDs including the industry’s first 320GB unit, using unique high-density platters that permit data density of 516Gbpsi.
Each of the 3.0Gbps SATA drives spin at 5,400rpm and have 16MB of buffer memory, while there’s apparently less of the high-pitched whine sometimes associated with such HDDs; in fact noise is down between 4 and 5dB over previous models. As well as the 320GB drive, ...
The World's Wittlest 320GB Hard Dwive [Storage]
Gizmodo —
Toshiba has just squeezed 320GB of storage into their 1.8-inch 5400RPM line of SATA drives. (That's enough to double the storage of the iPod Classic.) Available this December for an undisclosed price. [Toshiba via I4U]

Toshiba introduces 320GB 1.8 inch hard drive
Liliputing —
Toshiba’s latest hard drive is both really big, and really small. On the one hand, it can hold up to 320GB of data, which hardly makes it the highest capacity hard drive for mobile devices. But it’s better than the 160GB and 250GB hard drives that come with most netbooks. But at just 1.8 inches, the 1.8 inch hard drive is small enough to ...
Toshiba develops industry’s largest capacity1.8-inch HDD
Tech Ticker —
...
Toshiba has pipped the competition by announcing the industry’s largest capacity 1.8-inch hard drive. The MK3233GSG that already has HDDs in capacities of 160GB and 250GB will also have a 320GB one, targeted at thin mobile devices and external HDDs. The drives feature an industry highest areal density of 801Mbit/mm2 and supports SATA interface with a rotational speed of 5,400RPM and 16MB buffer.
Toshiba will start mass producing the drives in December.

Toshiba MK3233GSG 1.8-inch 320GB Hard Drive
iTech News Net —
Toshiba introduces a new line of 1.8-inch hard drive with up to 320GB capacity which is the industry’s highest for 1.8-inch HDDs, replacing the company’s 250GB MK2529GSG. The new line is available in 160GB (MK1633GSG), 250GB (MK2533GSG) and 320GB (MK3233GSG) capacities. The 320GB model has industry’s highest areal density of 801 Mbit/mm2 (516 Gbpsi).
Toshiba’s new 1.8-inch hard drives run at 5400RPM spin speed and have 16MB of buffer memory. They use SATA 3Gbps inteface. These drives deliver highly efficient power consumption, high-level durability and quiet seek operation, making them ideal for use in netbooks, CULV netbook, ...
