Art Lebedev Develops WiMax, Tri-Band GSM Handset [Art. Lebedev]
Gizmodo —
... at Art Lebedev to develop a flagship headset to take advantage of their the WiMax rollout. What they have come up with is a hot looking WiMax, Wi-Fi and triple-band GSM capable handset with a 850 x 480 screen (most likely touch), dual cameras, a five-position joystick and a microSD slot. Again, this device is only in the design stage and there is no word on what OS it will run, but things are definitely looking good for Russian mobile users so far. Art Lebedev's Scartel WiMax handset concept: we're moving to Russia
Engadget —
... unturned -- at least in the wishful-thinking conceptual stage. In addition to a WiMax radio, the device has WiFi, tri-band GSM, microSD, dual cameras, 3.5mm audio, an A/V plug and a gargantuan 850 x 480 screen. There are minimal buttons at the base: a five-way joystick and call / end, and no keypad, so we're going to assume that we're looking at a touchscreen device. Now all that's left is to pick an OS -- would Android be too much to ask? Another shot is after the fold. Art Lebedev Scartel WiMAX cellphone concept
SlashGear —
... on the right side. A mini-USB socket is on the right, together with access to the SIM and memory card slots.
Who knows how the design will evolve as it moves toward production status - hopefully they’ll shift the headphone socket from the left side to the top or bottom in the process - but this is one handset we’d like to see make it over to the US. The Sprint XOHM/Clearwire WiMAX network could do with all the eye-candy it can get…

... both a front and rear-facing camera, and a class-topping 850×480 display. Unfortunately, the Art Lebedev-designed WiMAX handset, which had better take on a more tongue-friendly model name soon, sports a tri-band GSM radio that’s likely going to keep it from seeing mainstream duty in the US. But, if this little beauty manages to include the 850Mhz band as part of its spectrum support, we’d love to put hands on its ginormous touchscreen.

Un móvil concepto con soporte WiMAX
Movilae —

Russian design Art Lebedev Studio has mobile phone concept
Phones Review —
... programmable OLED keys, but has WiFi support along with tri-band GSM capabilities and WiMAX.
The Art Lebedev Studio, concept mobile phone sports an 850 x 480 resolution touch-screen and has an auxiliary joystick control, and two cameras, one front and one at the rear. There is also a headphone jack, USB connectivity and a microSD slot.
Not too sure it this will ever progress from concept to actual, but then one can only surmise that will be up to Scartel.
