It’s possible that the company could use the imminent E3 gaming convention to either announce Wii Fit Plus or at least drop some serious hints regarding its development. The original game has sold in excess of 18 million copies.

Nintendo to launch Wii Fit Plus at E3 2009?

... Nintendo is apparently planning to launch a sequel of Wii Fit. According to Macquarie analysts, Nintendo will announce Wii Fit Plus at the E3 next week. The functioning of Wii Fit Plus is not known but they reckon it will be sold as a separate accessory to weigh on the success of Wii Fit and will also go along with the Wii Fit board.
Nintendo was granted a trademark (#2009-026024) for the Wii Fit Plus from the Japanese Patent Office last month.
