to coincide with the release of the real Nintendo
DSi on April 5, 2009. The sculpture is nearly 7 feet wide and contains 51,324 LEGO pieces. It took over 200 hours to create and weighs over 250 pounds. ...

“I would expect this launch to very much stimulate the DS software market,” said GfK-ChartTrack UK director Dorian Bloch.
Nintendo has sold over 100 million DS units worldwide since its launch in November 2004, with the DSi selling 1.28 million units in Japan in the first two months since launch.
