For two brief days, Indian iPhone fans held out hope that they might be able to get the gadget for less than the $715 price tag that Vodafone ( NYSE: VOD ) India put on the 8 gigabyte model, and $830 for the 16 gigabyte one. But there will be no price war, as Bharti Airtel, the other Indian carrier to sell the iPhone, released its prices today, matching Vodafone’s. As pointed out earlier , ...

Singaporean iPhone 3Gs drop visual voicemail, iTunes
Engadget Mobile —
... Store will make the cut. In the case of iTunes, the reason is kinda obvious: Singapore has no iTunes Store at all, and it never has. The explanation behind the mysterious absence of visual voicemail is less clear, other than carrier laziness in getting the feature implemented on its back end. The silver lining here seems to be pricing, though -- subscribers will be able to pick up the phone for diddly squat, assuming they sign up for a S$205 monthly package (about $145). SingTel offers free iPhone with Visual Voicemail or iTunes Store
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis —
... SingTel customers looking for cheaper monthly rate plans can get the 8GB iPhone 3G for $247, when purchased with a $40 per month rate plan. The cheapest plan gets you 200 wireless minutes and 1GB of data - not too shabby.
But, with no Singapore iTunes store to speak of, Apple has kept the iTunes Store application off the Singaporean iPhone 3G. And, without Visual Voicemail, SingTel customers will just have to revert to the old call-in and check voicemail system.
