I will always believe Nokia to be the best mobile phone company in the industry, despite LG being "number 1" (or is it Apple, these days?). Nokia definitely does better overseas than here, which is a shame; they make quality products.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Phone Will Miss Xmas Release Date in US [Cellphones]
Gizmodo — ... (aka 'Tube') will not make its way to the US in time for the Xmas season. Instead, Nokia seems to be content with focusing on emerging markets like India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia and Spain before setting their sites on developed markets like the US. Analysts seem to think the move makes sense from a business perspective, but customers waiting patiently for Nokia's first touchscreen Symbian S60 phone may feel otherwise. [Reuters] ...

Nokia’s touchscreen Nokia 5800 XpressMusic misses 2008 for mature markets
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis — ... emerging markets,” said analyst Neil Mawston from Strategy Analytics. Whether or not it makes sense to bring the Nokia 5800 to emerging market first, it sure does make it that much harder for the rest of the developed world to hop on board the S60 Touch-train. With a little luck, Nokia will launch the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and its S60 5th Edition OS in the US around the same time as it goes live in Europe. 5800 XpressMusic won’t be here by Xmas
The Nokia Phone Blog — ... the United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia and Spain. Well, maybe not quite some random. According to one analyst in the article, the reason for these countries might be Nokia’s strategy of opening up the 5800 first to the “emerging markets”, and then the rest of the world. At an unsubsidized price of 279 Euros ($387 USD), the 5800’s definitely in the affordable range and a lot of bang for your buck. Nokia touch-screen to miss Xmas in mature markets
