... Novatel Wireless has unveiled a new USB modem for mobile broadband users called the MC998D. The new modem supports HSPA+ on 850, 1900, and 2100 MHz frequencies. The device uses MIMO technology for faster data throughput. The HSPA+ technology allows the modem to support speeds of up to 21.6 Mbps on 3G networks for downloads and up to 5.76 Mbps on uploads.
