... blackout. However, the iPhone is very good at power management and severs WiFi connections when not in use. And the MiFi also hibernates after a few minutes of inactivity. Creating a somewhat annoying scenario that requires ‘rebooting’ the MiFi. Perhaps it shouldn’t be a huge deal, but the MiFi has such amazing WiFi range (given it diminutive size) that I’m not always near it when I want it active.

MiFi Gets Firmware Upgrade

... via USB. You will find the upgrade firmware selection under the Options menu in the Verizon Access Manager (VAM) program. The upgrade only takes 5 minutes and the PRL will be updated after the firmware upgrade is completed. Note that it is not possible to upgrade the firmware using the Mac version of the VAM. I also attempted to apply the upgrade on Windows 7 running under Parallels Desktop on the Mac and that would not work. It applied fine on Windows 7 on a non-Mac PC.
