BGR’s awesome source has done it again, this time seeping out a picture of Acer’s unnamed touchscreen device which will be exhibited at the MWC expo. The picture shows an unusual swiveling form factor but a closer look makes me to believe it more of a QWERTY dock with the phone placed on top. Specs like OS, processor, RAM are still a mystery but looking at Acer’s seriousness in the mobile phone biz foray, I am not letting my hopes die.

... what it purports to be, it looks pretty interesting: it would seem that Acer had created a swivelable keypad for use in both landscape and portrait configurations.
That could be pretty awkward, and seem rather pointless if its OS is Android, since the new Cupcake upgrade adds an on-screen keyboard anyway. I do like having the choice of choosing between physical keypad and virtual one, but I'm fine with the compromise of making you choose landscape mode to do QWERTY.

... on this. I’ve said that I expect Acer to bring out a bunch of Windows Mobile phones, but maybe they are dabbling with Android here?
Whatever it is, I propose we start a collection up to buy these ninjas a quality camera. Maybe one of those 10 megapixel jobbers with autofocus and a flash? These low-res, blurry, grainy photos are getting to me. We’ll see this thing in full glory (and resolution) in just a couple of weeks.

... and now we’re getting our first look at it; no specs, no OS, but a rather peculiar form factor. As you can see, this thing has a swivelling QWERTY keypad flipping out from under the touchscreen that makes the whole thing look like an upside-down T. Although it’s hard to see how well this actually works out until we actually play with one, it looks pretty awkward overall. What do you guys think - assuming decent specs, is this something you would use?

And this smartphone looks strange for now, but it might just be blurriness of the picture. It has a swivel keypad and that’s about all we know for now.
