Palm's CDMA Treo Pro gets FCC approval
We watch more FCC filings than we do episodes of Deal Or No Deal . Okay, that's not entirely true, but we watch our fair share of RF approvals -- and needless to say, when we saw a Palm handset cross the wires the day of the Pre announcement, we'd immediately assumed it was the approved device. ...

CDMA-based Palm Treo Pro approved by the FCC
IntoMobile - Cell Phone News, Information, and Analysis — ... (NYSE: S) is preparing to pull this through. Why they haven’t used the CES to go all official with it, however, is beyond me. I’m sure it wouldn’t steal Pre’s thunder. Anyway, now when the paperwork is done, guess there are no more reasons to wait. However on further looking it is actually the Palm Treo Pro CDMA version which is rumoured to be heading for Sprint. Wonder why Palm didn’t announce this at CES 2009 along with the Pre; one can assume any other announcement form Palm about another handset over than the Pre would have been overshadowed. CDMA Palm Treo receives FCC approval ahead of Pre
PR News: — ... a secret, they should have announced at the same time as they did the Palm Pre, at CES 2009. Maybe Palm was worried that the announcment of the CDMA version would have been eclipsed by the Pre announcement. Maybe today or in the next few days Palm will decide to officially announce the new version of the Treo. In the mean time, maybe we should just keep reading about the new Palm pre, not the best looking handset in the world, but it does have some great features. Source

Engadget — ... Well, March 15th looks like launch day for Sprint's Palm Treo Pro, and it's about time, after all, we've seen it rumored, unboxed, reviewed, and now finally you'll get a chance to pick one up. If you hearken back to the glory days of early February, you'll remember -- or we'll help you -- we'd heard rumors of the Palm Pre launching on the 15th, seems the rumor was at least partially right as the Treo Pro is most definitely a Palm. The Price? Apparently it will fill your pocket whilst emptying your wallet for $199 as long as you're willing to ...
