I think (and hope) more carriers will adopt a similar policy. The split payments will be available for ‘qualified customers’, meaning as long as your credit is OK, you can pay in installments. This new policy is open to new T-Mo customers and those already locked in to a current contract. Two thumbs up to T-Mobile on this policy. Now… which carrier will be next? Gadgetell — ... My gut says this will pave the way in separating us from the actual cost of phones. In doing so, carriers will be able to get away with higher costs because we feel the pain of a much smaller amount. I should lay off the conspiracy theory juice, huh?
