... magazines, including Popular Science and Popular Mechanics. I was stunned to discover that Pop Sci first appeared in May 1872. It took another 33 years for Popular Mechanics arrived on the scene. The ability to instantly search decades worth of material is irresistible, and I intend to spend countless hours learning how to build vintage hydrofoils and futuristic transistor radios in my garden shed.
