It ends up sounding like a bunch of gobbledygook but, hey, do your regular ties make weird sounds when you run a tape head over them? If so, your house is clearly haunted. Run!

... something that I despise (neckties). The tie fabric is 50% cotton and 50% old tape, and as an added bonus, if you run an old tape head over the tie you will be able to play back some of the original sound.
The thing is, with all the stretching and mixing with cotton, the sound will contain the original tape content, but probably won’t sound like anything much at all – just garbled random sounds; I don’t know if that makes the ties more or less awesome.
