RIM QWERTY flip-pad patent just too silly?
Phones Review —
... for such.
The concept is that the mobile phone starts off with a numeric keypad on a slimmer mobile handset, too slim we think, but anyway, when the users feel it necessary for more keys they flip out the two wings.
Personally I would think this type of thing would be somewhat clumsy to use to say the least, and just where those flips actually sit when not in use simply covers up even more of the slim keypad. Really can’t see the point in this one.

RIM Patents Weirdest QWERTY Keyboard Configuration Ever

... come out of Waterloo in quite some time.
From the diagram it looks like this a modified SureType QWWERTY keyboard that you must flip out the sides to get the full SureType Keyboard…
It doesnt’ make much sense to me either. I personally am a big fan of SureType, however, if you are going to have to reconfigure your keyboard, why not reconfigure to a full QWERTY keyboard.
RIM, I am telling you… Just come out with a BlackBerry Slider.

... full SureType keyboard. Odd.
I’m sitting here scratching my head on this one. Can you imagine what a pain in the you-know-what it would be, if you had to always flip out those extra keys on your device? I couldn’t have that. My advice to RIM? Build a full-QWERTY into the device instead, or just come up with a slider of sorts. Problem solved… with no need to pull some sort of crazy McGyver button reconfiguration trick that doesn’t make sense.

Teclado plegable para las BlackBerry
Celularis —
