Microsoft Faced with a Class Action Suit over RRoD
Tech Ticker —
... has been filed in California against Microsoft alleging them of selling defective consoles in order to compete with PS3 and Wii.
The lawsuit cites articles from various publications where the RRoD was already reported and says that Microsoft already knew as many as 50% of the consoles were vulnerable with the overheating problem.
If the lawsuit seeks a win over the Redmond giant, they could be directed to refund the money to all Xbox users in California.
