Sanyo Xacti FH11, HD2000, WH1, CA9 and CG10 unveiled

Sanyo greets 2009 with five new Xacti camcorders

Pricing and international release dates for these Xacti camcorders are not yet available. But for our friends in Japan, the DMX-HD2000 is scheduled for release on February 6, while the rest of the new Xacti models will be released in the following months.

I'm seriously considering one of those high-def littluns: Joel warned me the other day all that Xacti's all look the same in photos, but that current HD models are much larger than the Flip-esque mainstays: up to 6 1/2 inches long. It's as if Sanyo was listening in and wanted to make sure I bought one. Yay magical thinking!

Sanyo just announced a slew of new HD camcorders. The big take away here is the World’s first waterproof HD camcorder as well as the World’s first camcorder to achieve full HD progressive video at 60 frames a second. All of the aforementioned camcorders are available in a vertical or horizontal format, but models will vary by region according to Sanyo. Check the below chart for a quick product snap shot, but if you really want all the gritty details hit the press release.
