Sanyo quiere tomar la delantera en el mercado de las unidades Blu-ray, mientras la guerra de grabadoras está en los 8x, Sanyo ha logrado crear un nuevo cabezal para esas unidades que es capaz de grabar a más velocidad, a 12x.
Además, este cabeza permite leer discos de hasta 4 capas, es decir, se podría crear discos de hasta 100GB gracias a este sensor. Esto querría decir que se podrían grabar 100GB en unos 10 minutos (cálculo de Engadget).
Estamos más cerca de llegar a los discos de 400GB
