The transparent B-IRON 725 makes getting those pesky wrinkles out and crisp creases in with ease. It takes the guess work out without sacrificing quality...or does it?

These finger scissors are the work of Effrat Gommeh at Yanko Design. Slip these on, then make the rock-paper-scissors snipping gesture, and you'll be able to cut paper like it was... er... paper. Brilliant. Also brilliant on the Yanko Design site: a laptop mousetrap for those with prying roommates, a beautiful and elegant transparent iron, and the customizable peel-off light. The B-Iron 725 is a concept gadget by Dong-Seok Lee & Ji-Hyung Jung. It is see through, so it is much easier to tell if you got those tough wrinkles out. The transparency of the B-Iron 725 is because of it’s construction material, tempered glass. The iron uses a network of electrothermal wires for heat conduction. Great concept gadget, let’s see if they can now move this concept to production.

... How much sense does this make? This way, you're able to see if everything is going alright and that you aren't burning anything.
Of course, it all relies on it working properly. If the clear material doesn't distribute heat evenly or clouds up with steam, well, then it's pretty worthless. And such issues might be the reason we haven't seen such a problem before. But hey, maybe this is just one of those ideas that took way too long to come up with. Here's hoping.

Gone will be the days when you had to judge the spot of the crease and place the iron. A great concept, but we wonder if glass is the perfect alternative to steel.
