Sirius XM to release iPhone app in second quarter
MobileBurn.comReuters is reporting that Sirius XM Radio is planning to launch an application for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch mobile devices in the second quarter of 2009. The company is on the hunt for new revenue streams for its satellite radio service as management predicts that its sales of car products will likely do poorly this year. Sirius saw a very weak fourth quarter as traditional retail outlets where Sirius does much of its business struggled and as car sales declined.
